Position Management

To manage compensation growth, the position management process is designed to enhance due diligence around increasing headcount by requiring Executive Officer approval for all new roles and requiring VP/Dean/Sr. Leader approval for new and existing roles. To support this process, please refer to the following resources.

Position Forms

The following forms are required to be completed when requesting a staff, faculty, or pooled position and emailed to the respective address noted below.

  • NEW Staff Position Management-  There is a NEW process for staff position management! To hire a new or existing Part-time, Full-time, or Limited Term position. Go to HR's New Self-Service Center via InsideND. 
  • Faculty Position Management Form-To create a primary faculty position number, email this completed form to position@nd.edu
  • Pooled Position Request Form- All student and temporary positions are pooled positions. A potentially changing number of employees can be assigned to one pooled position number, thus having multiple employee assignments. This form can have multiple requests.  Please complete and email to position@nd.edu

Position Budget Home Org Changes

To request a change to the Position Budget Home Org, which identifies the primary org responsible for a position, please email the position number, current budget home org, and new budget home org to position@nd.edu
